What quality control processes are in place during climbing hold manufacturing?
We run multiple quality control checks throughout production to ensure consistency and reliability across every hold.
Each hold is checked at three key stages: immediately after being removed from the mould, after paint curing, and after texturing. This allows us to catch any issues early rather than relying on a final inspection alone.
We also control consistency at the process level. One of the biggest factors is mould condition, which is why we replace moulds every 20 pulls, before they have a chance to degrade and affect shape or texture.
Material consistency is another key factor. Because we don’t use fillers in our resin, we avoid variations that can weaken structure or affect finish quality.
Our defect rate is under 1%, which reflects both the consistency of our process and the level of control we maintain during production.
