What textures can be applied to climbing holds?

We apply texture using a proprietary blend designed specifically for fibreglass macros.

This allows us to achieve consistent, durable surface finishes that balance grip and longevity. We also offer dual-texture options, where certain areas of the hold are smooth while others are textured, depending on your design.

While we can customise texture profiles, we typically recommend our standard blend because it’s been developed and tested to perform well across both commercial and training environments. It hits the sweet spot where its not too aggressive nor too polished, but will have a long life span.

Texture is applied after the structural shell is formed, ensuring it bonds properly to the surface without compromising the integrity of the hold.

The result is a consistent feel across batches, with controlled grip that holds up over time rather than degrading quickly.
